Students--they are what teaching is all about! Here are Michael's current students (2011-12) at Xiamen University. These three photos show Michael's fall 2011 students--sophomores working on a degree in International Economics and Trade at Xiamen University. Each class meets with me twice a week.

Class 3	This is the fall 2009 group photo of my post-grad students at Kunming Medical University. About half of them continued to be my students in the spring, along with about 80 sophomores.

I love to teach English, but I really don't like judging English speaking contests! The contestants all work so hard, but all I have is about three minutes to evaluate them. It is difficult to "judge" students when you watch them for a whole semester, so "three minutes" just doesn't seem fair to me.
